Fantastic place for food and drink. All cooked from scratch and to a high standard. Good menu choices including pizza cooked in their own oven outside. Nice outdoor space for sunny days. Prices are on the high side but represent excellent value considering the standard. Good choice of well kept ale, wine and other drinks. Staff are professional and attentive.
Fantastic food & service. Staff are very polite & curteous. Food is freshly prepared & comes in good time. We had the scallops (starter), seabass and the garlic & herb chicken breast (mains), with panna cotta & cherry bakewell cheesecake (dessert). Would recommend all those dishes.
Excellent M1 stop off. The pub has a variety of plates at different pricing. I had lamb, my husband had the burger. The chefs really know what they are doing. Brilliant presentation. Waitresses were too busy to interact .. perhaps understaffed on the day we visited. Overall 10/10
Try the Thai green curry. The best we’ve ever had!!! Spicey, plenty so nicely presented. Amazing. Great beer too!! Recommended.

Not even 2 miles from the motorway WAY BETTER than motorway services and well behaved dogs welcome too. Food amazing although service is only until 2pm I believe. Definitely stopping here again.
I stayed here for two weeks and thought the place was excellent. The rooms are a good size and the bed is comfy, the shower was also really powerful which I really enjoy. One point to maybe take a look at is the windows in the doors, they maybe need a small curtain over them as the light was beaming in at around 4:30. The food is great and the staff are friendly and polite. Loved burger Monday! Maybe a bit more choice on the bar menu especially in summer when a lot of people sit outside.
Stopped off for some lunch in the middle of a slog up the M1. Excellent food and service at prices you’d pay at a services. Particular highlights were the fried Brie, Halloumi and Mushroom burger (we’re not vegetarian, it was just that good), and the sticky toffee pudding with honeycomb. 100% recommend
